Sunset

Late summer is a great time to visit Orkney.  The sunsets are amazing and it is quieter as the schools are back.   We have good availability from 27th August onwards.  We offer dog friendly accommodation in Kringla 2 but ask that folk email first to check out our Doggy Rules before booking.  We do not allow animals in Kringla 3 for those people who have pet allergies.

We are delighted to be welcoming our guests back to Kringla Apartments.  It has been a difficult and long year for everyone and now it is time to book your holiday and have something to look forward to!  Orkney has an abundance of delights awaiting for you to discover.  Beautiful beaches, stunning shorelines, amazing wildlife, fabulous archaeological sites and friendly people.

The photo of Primula Scotica was taken Sunday 25th April, slightly early flowering as they normally flower May and July each year.  As you can see they are a very tiny flower which is only found in a few places in the world.

The safety of our guests is of paramount importance to us so we have read and are following the Association of Scottish Self Caterers guidance on cleaning and looking after our guests.

We are open!  Covid-19 has meant 2020 has been a surreal experience for us all, but with the easing of Lockdown, Orkney is starting to open up and welcome guests.  We have now read the Association of Scotland's Self-Caterers cleaning protocols and will do our best to provide a safe environment for your holiday.   Any new bookings for the first few months will have a gap of 3 days to provide an extra layer of safety for you and for our staff.  Therefore we will not be doing Saturday only check ins.  Please phone or email before making a reservation so that we can arrange a mutually agreed date to allow for this 72 hour period.  We also ask that if you have any Covid-19* symptoms that you do not travel to Orkney.  If you develop symptoms while you are here the guidance says you must let us know and then travel back home as soon as possible to isolate.
