We have just finished renovating Newbigging Cottage and are now taking bookings for the summer. It is a one bedroom cottage with an open plan lounge/kitchen area and a metal action sofa bed, the bathroom is a wet room with large walk in shower. Ideal "get away from it all" place to stay where you are surrounded by wild life. Rabbits, hares, curlews, oyster catchers and the occasional hen harrier, heron or owl are common visitors. Central location for seeing the archaeological sites, RSPB reserves, bird watching, fishing and walking. Beautiful views over the West Mainland. It is 3 miles from Dounby, 18 miles from Kirkwall and 9 miles from Stromness.
